This is a high quality glass filter, coated on both sides or "double coated" as it is commonly referred to, made in Japan (imported by Bower). Great filter to use for landscapes and for people. I know many people that use this filter for all their photographs. The result is a nice warm tone especially skin tones and landscapes. In the early days of the Optical industry, around the 1920?s, an eyeglass lens color was made called Cruxlight. The lens color was, and still is, the same color as this filter. The lens was made for people to wear that have eyes that are sensitive to light. What it does is change the bright white light to a softer Rose color, there by coining the phrase "looking at the world through Rose colored glasses".
